Apple Spice Muffins

Calling for all spice and apple lovers!
Spice up your life with these apple spice muffins

You will need:

Extra equipment:

a muffin baking tray
large bowl

Ingredients:

110 g (4 oz) butter
135 g (5 oz) sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
235 ml (8 fl oz) apple sauce
190 g (7 oz) plain flour

For the topping:

2 tbsp water
120 g (4 oz) icing sugar
nuts of your choice

Note:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

To make:

1. Use a paper towel to grease the muffin tray with a little soft butter.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until it has the creamy texture.

3. Add in the eggs and beat until smooth. Blend in the cinnamon, allspice, baking
powder and bicarbonate soda.

4. Add the apple sauce and the flour. Stir until just blended together.

5. Use a teaspoon to divide the mixture equally into the muffin tray. Bake the muffins
for 20 minutes.

6. When the muffins are cool, mix the icing sugar and water and spoon a little icing
over each one. Top with a few nuts of your choice.
